IBM ‘5 in 5’ 2012 (From IBM Research)

In next five years will be able to imitate the taste, sight, smell, hearing and touch, as IBM Research ‘5 in 5’ report indicates in its edition of 2012.

Emerging technologies will continue to push the boundaries of human limitations to enhance and augment our senses with machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), advanced speech recognition and more. No need to call for Superman when we have real super senses at hand.

This year IBM presents The 5 in 5 in five sensory categories, through innovations that will touch our lives and see us into the future (click on links to access to complete information):

New PMI Standards of Project Management Updates: 5th edition of PMBOK

Recently, PMI (Project Mangement Institute) announced the publication of new editions of its project, program amb portfolio management foundational standars.

New standars will be pubished in early january 2013, and will cover fifth edition of PMBOK (Project Managements Body of Knowledge), and third edition of “The Standard for Progran Management” and “The Standard for Portfolio Management”.

I want to highlight of new PMBOK edition 3 important aspects:

• A 10th Knwoledge Area: Project Stakeholder Management. I was sure this area would be added in the last revison of PMBOK, Fourth Edition. Finally, it is included
• Project data information and information flow have been redefined and aligned with the DIKW (Data, Information, Knowledge and Wisdom) model used in the field of Knowledge Management
• Four new planning processes added to reinforce the concept of the subsidiary plans integrated through the overall project management plan:
  • Plan Scope Management
  • Plan Schedule Management
  • Plan Cost Management
  • Plan Stakeholder Management

20 fets del 2012 en TIC (Albert Cuesta, ARA)

Cap a finals d’any, és habitual que en els diferents camps d’actuació, àmbits o especialitats, s’acostumi a fer repàs del que ha ocorregut durant els passats 12 mesos o, d’altra banda, a preveure què pot passar i quines són les tendències en aquell entorn professional.

Us volia compartir, lligat al primer cas, un article publicat al diari ARA (www.ara.cat) on l’Albert Cuesta fa una repàs de 20 fets que han marcat l’any en el món de la tecnologia. Les tecnologies de la informació i la comunicació.

És el primer post d’aquesta sèrie que aniré publicant durant aquests dies.

La felicitació del MIC Productivity

Passar per una situació ‘crítica’ com la que estic travessant, t’ajuda a reflexionar i replantejar moltes coses (prioritats, valors,…).

Però també t’ajuda a veure com l’entorn es volca en ajudar-te i reforçar l’esperit de lluita.

Avui he vist la felicitació de nadal d’enguany dels meus companys del MIC Productivity (Felices Fiestas) i no he pogut evitar de compartir-la a través d’aquest blog, de lluita contra el càncer
